GOLD USA calico

GOLD USA fabric is a new generation of fabric for bedding, designed specifically for the US market, taking into account modern requirements for the hygiene of sleep and rest.

This is a cotton calico weave fabric with the addition of high-strength 150D polyester yarn with a density of 120-125 gsm.

The set of bed linen made of Gold USA calico is characterized by very high wear resistance, durability, and strength, compared to calico (of the same density from both 100 percent cotton and poly cotton (see table)). By strength, calico GOLD USA bedding even exceeds linen bedding, which is famous for durability.

A significant difference between the thickness of the cotton and polyester threads forms cells for air to penetrate, and thus the fabric “breathes” and makes sleep comfortable. As a result, the GOLD USA calico bedding set will last 20 times longer than the bedding set from other calico fabric.

GOLD USA calico bedding also has a special treatment, the so-called “mercerization” of the fabric, during which the structure of the cotton fibers changes from alpha-cellulose to thermodynamically more favorable beta cellulose. As a result of this process, the fabric not only acquires a beautiful silky shine but is also reliably protected from the formation of “spools” and from fading. In addition, as a result of mercerization, the hygroscopicity of the fabric increases, and, consequently, the ability to absorb moisture (sweat) during sleep and rest.
